To strengthen our team, we are looking for our Laboratory in Hamburg at the earliest possible date Employees to strengthen our product development team (m/f/d)In this role, you will be an important part of our laboratory team and contribute significantly to the success of our company.
The position involves research into new, environmentally friendly foam extinguishing agents and technologies for effective firefighting. You possess strong self-motivation and a drive for success, are fascinated by development work, possess the ability to think outside the box, and possess a strong work ethic. You will work in close coordination with Product Management and Sales, which requires a willingness to travel to test facilities and customers both at home and abroad.
Your area of responsibility:
- Development of new foam extinguishing agents and/or technologies for effective firefighting; product development of environmentally friendly fire extinguishing agents.
- Search for environmentally friendly raw materials.
- Development/identification and application of appropriate methods for assessing the environmental impact of firefighting chemicals and products.
- Implementation of R&D projects to improve fire extinguishing products and optimize extinguishing processes.
- Basic research in the field of foaming agents – micellar and colloidal systems.
- Formulation and stabilization of dispersions and suspensions.
- Development of theoretical models to correlate extinguishing success with physical properties of the fuel.
- Logging of results and evaluation of measurement data.
- Collaboration in the development and optimization of procedures and processes.
- Conducting regular tests to verify chemicals and raw materials.
Your profile:
- Education and experience: You should have completed training or a degree in chemistry; knowledge of product development is desirable; the terms surfactants and surface-active substances should not be foreign to you.
- Personal skills: You are characterized by your ability to work in a team, your reliability, your solution-oriented mindset and your ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel: You should be prepared to travel - in this context, a Class B driving license is also desirable.
- Language skills: You have good written and spoken German skills.
- Technical knowledge: You have good MS Office skills.
