vaPUREx® FXS LV 1% F-0 is a newly developed, fluorine-free, normal viscosity, synthetic fire extinguishing foam agent especially for use in sprinkler and spray deluge systems on class A and B fires. The low proportioning rate of only 1% offers enormous logistical advantages. The high extinguishing performance and a particularly good spreading low expansion foam recommend vaPUREx® FXS LV 1% F-0 for AFFF-like applications wherever non-polar (not miscible with water) liquids/hydrocarbons are produced, processed, transferred, transported or stored. A special combination of raw materials reduces the formation of emulsions (fuel pick-up: absorption of flammable liquids into the foam phase) with the burning material and allows direct foam application in fires involving non-polar mineral oil products. vaPUREx® FXS LV 1% F-0 is easily and completely biodegradable and, thanks to its low viscosity, it can be used in commercially available proportioners and dosing systems down to a temperature of -10°C.
