The excellent effectiveness on aviation fuels, but also the application possibilities as an environmentally friendly Class A foam extinguishing agent or as a wetting agent in interior areas (baggage handling, storage areas, catering, ...) qualify vaPUREx® LV ICAO B 1% F-5 as the fire extinguishing foam agent of choice for airports and other areas of the aviation industry. A special combination of raw materials reduces the formation of emulsions (fuel pick-up is the absorption of flammable liquids into the foam phase) with the burning material and allows direct foam application in fires involving non-polar mineral oil products. The robust formulation guarantees high performance reserves of vaPUREx® LV ICAO B 1% F-5 and high stability against a wide range of typical operational influences. Due to its good foamability, it is ideally suited for use with many nozzles, e.g. on front monitors or extinguishing arms of airfield fire-fighting vehicles.
